Scientists sound global ecosystem health alert
Humanity is putting unsustainable and ever increasing pressure on the world's ecosystems, placing basic living standards of millions of people at risk, according to a major assessment of global ecosystems released on Wednesday. "Radical" policy changes are needed to tackle these trends, it says, but "are not currently under way".
