UN addresses Montreal-Kyoto f-gas tensions
The contribution to global warming of fluorocarbon chemicals (f-gases) introduced as substitutes to ozone-depleting substances (ODS) can be halved by 2015, according to a major UN report released on Monday. The report examines, in particular, options for reducing emissions or substituting uses of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs).
