US firms back status quo on EU battery rules
US businesses operating in Europe have called on the European parliament not to introduce radical changes to draft new EU rules on batteries. The intervention by the American chamber of commerce to the EU (Amcham) comes as the parliament's environment committee is preparing the assembly's second reading position on the law (EED 05/10/05).
