EU renewable energy plans postponed

Two EU policy papers on renewable energy have been postponed for discussion by the European commission's competitiveness group following an intervention by enterprise commissioner Günter Verheugen. An action plan on biomass energy (EED 26/05/04) and a review of EU support schemes for renewable electricity (EED 18/10/05) were both due out on Wednesday.
