EU agrees new Life programme
Delegates from EU governments and the European parliament reached a conciliation agreement on the new Life+ environment project funding programme on Tuesday night. The fund will plough €1.9bn of EU money into environmental improvement projects over seven years to 2013. At least half will go to nature and biodiversity projects.
