EU seeks push for environmental taxation

The European commission has launched a drive to promote greater use of market-based instruments such as green taxation to achieve EU environmental and energy goals.   A green paper published on Wednesday could result in proposals for fresh EU legislation, possibly later this year.

The Danish government presents the programme of the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union ‘Europe at work'
