EU industrial carbon emissions up in 2006
Carbon dioxide emissions from industrial plants in the EU emission trading scheme rose in 2006, the European commission reported on Monday. Data from installations responsible for over 90 per cent of emissions showed a "slight" increase of 1 to 1.5 per cent relative to 2005 emissions, it said (EED 15/05/06).
