Britons "reluctant" to take climate action
Two-fifths of Britons are doing nothing to reduce their energy use, according to a survey carried out by British NGO the Energy saving trust. And of those who are taking action, few are making "substantial" changes such as cutting down on air travel, the NGO says. Preferred actions are smaller changes including buying local products. This is despite most Britons believing that climate change is having an impact on the environment. The survey also shows that measures such as road pricing are unpopular. See press release and survey.
