Medical use of DEHP plasticiser "a concern"
The use of the phthalate softener DEHP in PVC medical devices can pose a health risk to newly-born babies, an EU scientific committee said this week. The findings turn the spotlight back onto the controversial chemical and have been welcomed by health campaigners.
