No new laws needed to tackle drought - ministers
No new legislation is needed to tackle the problem of water scarcity and drought, EU environment ministers agreed at their council meeting in Luxembourg on Tuesday. In a resolution responding to a European commission policy paper the council said the EU's existing water framework directive should be the tool for addressing the issues.
