EU's national greenhouse gas targets to 2020 agreed

EU member states will have to reduce their non-industrial greenhouse gas emissions by an average of 10 per cent by 2020 compared with 2005 levels under a law formally adopted by the European parliament on Wednesday. The law distributes the overall target into individual national targets.
