Spain approves waste incineration increase plan
The Spanish government has approved a long-delayed waste plan whose objectives include a significant increase in waste incineration to cut landfill disposal. The plan also aims to close down illegal waste dumps and reduce waste-generated greenhouse gas emissions (EE 20/11/08).
