EU executive proposes new GM maize approvals
The European commission proposed authorising the cultivation of two new types of GM maize in the EU on Wednesday. The European food safety authority (Efsa) gave GM maize Bt11 and 1507 the "all-clear" for the second time last year (EE 31/10/08).
