China reassures EU over climate ambitions
China will pursue its plans to combat climate change in spite of the current economic crisis, Chinese premier Wen Jiabao told European commission president José Manuel Barroso over lunch on Friday. The two leaders had a first meeting on climate in April last year (EE 25/04/08).
