Renewed interest in car scrapping incentives
Several EU governments have agreed or are considering incentives to scrap old and polluting cars as part of plans to rescue the ailing automobile industry. On Friday, the Italian government approved a €1,500 wrecking premium for owners of older cars buying new ones.
