Council approves EU climate change package

A major package of six climate and energy laws aimed at reducing Europe's greenhouse gas emissions by 20 per cent by 2020 is set to enter force after clearing its final legislative hurdle on Monday (EE 26/03/09).

Danish presidency programme

The Danish government presents the programme of the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union ‘Europe at work'

Denmark took over the presidency of the EU on 1 January.
