Helcom chief reports on efforts to clean up Baltic Sea
The Baltic is one of the world’s most polluted seas. In 2007, the regional intergovernmental Helsinki commission (Helcom) launched an action plan to restore the good ecological status of the Baltic marine environment by 2021.
