EU photovoltaic sector grew by 152% in 2008

Europe's photovoltaic energy sector grew significantly last year with an additional 4.6 gigawatt-peak (GWp) representing a 152% increase over 2007, according to figures released by renewable energy consortium Eurobserver this week.
