Germany at loggerheads over energy services directive

The German government's environment and economy departments are locked in a dispute over plans to transpose the EU's 2006 directive on end-use efficiency and energy services into national law. EU states had until May 2008 to implement the law.

Danish presidency programme

The Danish government presents the programme of the Danish Presidency of the Council of the European Union ‘Europe at work'

Denmark took over the presidency of the EU on 1 January.
