Hungary to finance efficiency through AAU sales
The Hungarian government has announced it will spend €98m from the sales of carbon credits (AAUs) to other governments to boost energy efficiency in buildings. Hungary sold 8.6 million tonnes of AAUs to Belgium and Spain in 2008 and 2009.
