Japan lambasted for feeble carbon reduction goal

Japan has come under heavy criticism for its proposal on Wednesday to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 15% below 2005 levels, or 8% below 1990 levels, as part of a new global climate deal to be signed in Copenhagen in December.
