Airlines face €1bn carbon bill under EU ETS
Airlines joining Europe's emissions trading scheme (ETS) in 2012 may have to buy €1.1bn worth of carbon allowances to meet an emissions cap for flights into and out of the EU, market analyst Point Carbon told journalists on Wednesday.
