Machnig: CO2 import tax plan is eco-imperialism
France's proposal to impose a carbon tax on EU imports of energy-intensive products from parts of the world that do not have emission reduction commitments is equivalent to "eco-imperialism", German junior environment minister Mattias Machnig has said.
