Large CO2 emitters make formal climate pledges

The world's largest emitters of greenhouse gases in industrialised and developing countries have all met a 31 January deadline to submit their emission reduction pledges for 2020 to the UN under the Copenhagen accord agreed by a small group of countries last December.
