UK exceeds EU green requirement for biofuels
Biofuels sold in Britain during the period 2008-09 achieved greenhouse gas emission savings of 46% compared to fossil fuels, well above the EU's 35% minimum threshold, according to a report published last week by the country's renewable energy agency.
