Baltic eutrophication initiative targets phosphorus
The Helsinki Commission (Helcom) has launched a €3.2m project to reinforce its efforts to curb eutrophication of the Baltic Sea. The PURE initiative is intended to improve phosphorus removal in municipal sewage discharges.
