Demand for biofuels to increase crop prices – JRC
Biofuel policy could lead to a 6.5% increase in crop prices in Europe, assuming a 7% share of biofuels in transport by 2020, according to a draft report from the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC). Ethanol prices would increase by 8%.
