Ministers bold on biodiversity, stay stuck on soil
EU environment ministers backed the most ambitious of four European Commission-proposed options to protect biodiversity after 2010 at a meeting in Brussels on Monday. But a minority of countries continued to block proposals for an EU soils directive.
