Commission blocks surrendering of Kyoto credits

The European Commission temporarily interrupted the surrendering of Kyoto credits CERs and ERUs on Friday to prevent their reuse for compliance with the EU's emissions trading scheme. Two marketplaces stopped trading activities this week.
