Industry rejects plan for 30% CO2 cut in Europe

Energy-intensive industries in Europe such as steel, cement and paper makers said on Friday they "vigorously oppose" any unilateral increase of the EU's commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 20% by 2020.
