Environmental taxation keeps falling – Eurostat
EU environmental taxes as a percentage of GDP fell to 2.4% in 2008 – the lowest level since peaking at 2.9% in 1999 – a report by statistical office Eurostat revealed on Monday. They also fell as a percentage of overall taxation.
