PET bottle recovery in EU close to 50% – industry
About 1.4 million tonnes of PET plastic bottles were collected for recycling in Europe last year, up 8% on 2008, according to figures released by specialist recycling organisation Petcore on Sunday. Petcore says 48.4% of all PET bottles were collected.
