Barcelona summit unlocks energy tax debate
EU finance ministers should adopt an European energy tax regime by the end of the year, heads of government agreed at this weekend's Barcelona summit. Though they elaborated no further on the details, the European Commission welcomed the move today as a "very significant step forward." Business groups called it "extremely worrying".
