Sweden to research green product information
The Swedish government has asked the national environmental protection agency to develop information on the environmental impact of products throughout their entire life cycle - from the extraction of raw materials and manufacture to transport - and to initiate a "dialogue with the financial sector" on the need for such data. The aim is to identify deficiencies in product information currently available and propose ways to make it more accessible and more relevant to sustainability targets, environment minister Lena Sommestad said in a statement.
