Luxembourg warned over transport CO2
The number of foreign road vehicles attracted to Luxembourg by its fuel prices will make it "extremely challenging" for the country to meet its Kyoto emission target, the International energy agency has warned. The IEA report suggests that Luxembourg consider tax changes to slow the increase in road traffic. It also warns that the current promotion of renewable energy through generous tariffs and subsidies may prove too costly, and callso for more work to improve energy efficiency.
