Nordics shore up green advertising standards
The Nordic consumer ombudsmen have jointly issued a set of guidelines aiming to clarify and reconcile standards of green and ethical advertising. The move follows a number of cases in Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland in which such claims were found to be false or misleading despite nominal adherence to unofficial EU guidelines, various ecolabelling regimes or an ICC international code of environmental advertising, Danish ombudsman Hagen Jørgensen told ENDS Europe DAILY on Monday.
