UK bids to take the lead on global CSR policy
The UK has published goals for the future of corporate social responsibility (CSR) globally. A new "international strategic framework" published by the industry ministry last week rests on a voluntary approach that will "foster an enabling environment for responsible business practice". "The UK is seen as leading the way internationally on CSR...our objectives [are] to see business do more of the good things and cut out the bad," junior minister Nigel Griffiths said.
