UK experts chart a path to 60% CO2 cut

British university researchers have proposed measures to slash housing CO2 emissions by 40% by 2050 in support of the government's goal of a national 60% reduction by then. A report launched on Wednesday calls for accelerated demolition of poor-quality housing stock and "market transformation" to ensure more efficient household applicances, heating and lighting.
