MEPs scrutinise EU services directive
The European parliament's industry committee on Tuesday backed the draft services directive, rejecting calls for radical changes to the European Commission's draft. The committee's opinion will feed into the internal market committee, which is leading the assembly's discussions on the directive (EED 19/04/05). It is the second committee to adopt an advisory opinion, following the environment committee in mid-March.
