Officials take stock on pollution-health agenda
European policy makers have met in Copenhagen to take stock of progress in curbing air pollution since a major children's environment and health action plan for Europe was adopted last June (EED 28/06/04). Last week's meeting identified ways to scale up activities and support national efforts to make a safer future for the region's children, said the World health organisation. Meanwhile, the European Commission has issued a progress report on the EU's own action plan on environment and health (EED 10/06/04).
