EU chemicals watchdog reports latest news
The European chemicals bureau (ECB) has published its latest review of progress in risk assessing substances on the EU's four priority lists of "existing chemicals". In its July newsletter the ECB details the state of play on seven substances, including the nonylphenol-derived plastics stabiliser TNPP, methenamine and 4-tert-butylphenol. The bureau also reports on industry-led voluntary risk assessments being carried out into the metals copper and lead. A separate section carries updates on the ECB's preparations for the Reach chemicals policy reform. See the latest ECB newsletter.
