Fourth European mobility week kicks off

The EU's fourth annual mobility week was launched on Friday at a conference hosted by the UK presidency in London. Over 1,000 European towns and cities are participating in the week, which this year has the central theme of "clever commuting". EU commissioners Jacques Barrot and Stavros Dimas both participated in Friday's conference, at which a mobility week pledge was opened for signature.
