Denmark tightens controls on chemicals
The Danish environment ministry has launched a four-year, DKr62m action plan on chemicals aimed at "a significant strengthening of controls and preventive measures". Focusing on enforcement, consumer protection and communication, the 10-point plan includes a five-fold increase in inspections of farms, a new public database of product groups containing chemicals, and a public information campaign and helpdesk aimed in large part at SMEs.
