Time for bold choices

Autumn tends to be a challenging time of the year for the car industry. It was around this time ten years ago that Europe’s carmakers’ association, Acea, struck a deal with the European commission to voluntarily reduce carbon dioxide emissions from new cars by 25 per cent by 2008, to 140 grams of CO2 per kilometre.
