Germany approves climate change adaptation plan
The German federal cabinet has approved an action plan on adapting to climate change from the country's environment ministry. The plan outlines measures to respond to the environmental and economic impacts of increased winter rain, summer dryness and rising coastal sea levels. It assumes temperature rises of up to 1.5 degrees C by 2050 and 3.5 degrees C by 2100.
