Agreement reached on EU road cabotage rules

MEPs and governments have struck a deal on legislation clarifying exactly when a haulier from one EU country may transport goods in another. The revised "cabotage" rules should cut pollution by reducing the number of empty trucks on Europe's roads (EE 23/05/07).
