EU to ratify illegal timber agreement with Ghana

The Council of Ministers is set to formally ratify a voluntary partnership agreement with Ghana to ensure the legality of timber products imported into the EU. It is the first to be concluded under the EU’s Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT) initiative.
