NOx tax for ships could slash emissions – study

A charge on nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions from ships of about €470 per tonne could cut emissions in the Baltic Sea by nearly 60% annually, helping combat eutrophication and other environmental problems, according to an NGO study released on Monday.
