EC proposes to ban HFC-23 credits from 2013

The use of carbon credits from projects aimed at cutting HFC-23 and nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from adipic acid production should be banned from 2013 under the EU carbon trading scheme (ETS), the European Commission said on Thursday.
