Governments spend $500bn on 'dirty' subsidies

Half a trillion US dollars was spent by governments on fossil fuel subsidies last year, according to estimates released by the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the OECD on Tuesday ahead of November's G20 meeting in Cannes.
